Our apologies to the person who sent this, she wanted to remain anonymous. Didn’t see this e-mail until recently.

 

So… She asks "How bad is it when a girl tells a guy she likes him?"

It depends really? On how forward-thinking you and that guy are. If the guy isn’t running purely on testosterone, you should be all right. It’s just a matter of compatibility then, a simple "yes" or "no."

Now the problem is if he gets turned off. Better luck next time, I guess. If he isn’t ready for a girl to come onto him then I doubt if he’s good for you.

may i just add that it also depends on the relationship you have with the guy. Are you friends? Coz that’s gonna make things a whole lot easier or harder. hehe

Definitely, there’s nothing bad and nothing wrong. It’s good and normal. Everybody is entitled to say what she or he feels. The problem is that when people’s mindset is on a backward culture, who will interpret such expression to a certain explosive thing. It is the recipient who always think it is a bad thing who really deserves a lethal injection …

WOW! That is some really old school thinking. I would expect to find that in India or the middle east or mindanao. Ya know, one of those closed-minded societies.

The implication is that some impropriety is being done if a girl admits this. That she is being forward and is somehow now a person of loose morals. (you like the way I avoided using the term ’slut’ like my grandmother did 30 years ago?…whoops ;-) )

Naw, dont worry about it. If you are on the internet to start with, then you have already decided to be part of a modern and more progressive world. But then again, I still get a kick out of seeing muslim women in the full-body burka (urban ninjas) but browsing thru the make-up section in a department store. Hmm, perhaps that you s well.

Oh well, either it bothers you or not. If so, then dont do it and be sure to coverup b4 purchasing cosmetics. j/k But that thought is pretty old fashioned…its a shame someone managed to keep that thought somehow embedded in your psyche.
