Annoying Pets in Building?
April 30, 2008Jake tells us… "Hi. I’m living in a seven story apartment building. Pets are allowed. The thing is the elevator broke down until whoever is in charge cares about fixing it. I didn’t really notice until now but my neighbors are the third floor let their pets loose on the staircase. I do understand that they need to roam about as the apartment spaces aren’t really big. But those dogs poop and pee on the floor, and one of them won’t stop barking at me and "pushing me" with it’s mouth. What do I do?
1. Talk to whoever is in charge and ask about the policy regarding that.
2. Request your neighbors to tame the dogs. I hope they clean up after their mess!
3. Dogs respond to er… auras of human beings (for lack of a better term) so try to be friendly with them.
4. Carry something that might scare or distract them. Or you can defend yourself with a heavy bag.

My dog ran up to this girl carrying a cake — it was her birthday. Err. She was covered with cake when she dropped it. Whoops.
